UAKK meets Indian Ambassador; seeks support for retention of Kuwait-Mangalore flight

Kuwait, Jan 2: Delegation from United Associations of Karnataka Kuwait (UAKK), an umbrella organization of 12 Associations, Kasargod Expats Association (KEA) and prominent NRIs from Coastal Karnataka and Northern parts of Kerala visited Indian Embassy and welcomed Sunil Jain to Kuwait.

UAKK delegation discussed about Air India Express Cancellation of Flights to Kuwait / Mangalore sector from February 15, 2014 and requested him to contact Air India Express Management and advise them to retain the regular flight schedules in this sector.  His Excellency assured his assistance in this matter.

Copies of the following memorandums have submitted to His Excellency seeking his support:

1) Memorandum dated 16th December 2013 addressed to Shri Ajit Singh – Honorable Union Minister for Civil Aviation requesting him to instruct Air India Express Management on top priority basis to retain the regular flight schedules to Kuwait / Mangalore sector. Request has also been submitted to Aviation Ministry of India to consider granting permission to other Airlines such as Jet Airways to operate Kuwait-Mangalore sector so that the passengers will have more than one travel option for this sector.

2) Memorandum dated 7th February, 2014 addressed to Shri Naresh Goel – Chairman, Jet Airways requesting them to consider their flight services to Kuwait / Mangalore sector. The Ambassador assured that he will contact the MD and Chairman of Air India Express. The delegation included the presidents of various Karnataka State Associations in Kuwait, KEA and prominent NRIs.
