Mangaluru, Apr 9: A many as 20 international round table members from United States of America, United Kingdom, Holland, Portugal, Canada and Australia embarked on an adventurous study tour through auto rickshaw on from Tiruvananthapuram to Panaji.
They started their journey on April 5 and on their way they reached Mangaluru on April 9. All the members were cordially welcomed by Chairman of Mangalore Round Table 115 Naveen Cardoza, Secretary Kenneth Serrao and Chair Person of Ladies circle No.82, Mrs. Luvlyn D’Souza at Govt. Z.P. Primary School, Bikarnakatta, Mangaluru.
All the members mingled with the school teachers and students and had an interaction with them and to studied their tradition and culture, standard of living and teaching in the School. It was a part of their community service “freedom through education” they also supported the students morally and assured financial assistance to the school children.
The tourist revealed that enjoyed their visit to Mangaluru and the main purpose of travel to India was tourism charity community service and to add to that adventure. Later eight rickshaws were flagged off for their onward journey to Goa. The entire programe was organized by international round table club in association with international rickshaw challenge association of Tiruvanthapuram
