Mangaluru, Nov 23: Criticising the union minister D V Sadananda Gowda for his remarks that there was a conspiracy within the Congress against Home minister G Parameshwar, state health minister U T Khader said that he would personally take up the matter with the former and seek clarification in this regard.
Speaking to media persons here, the minister said that such statements were not befitting of a former chief minister of the state, especially during his visit to the house of Harish, who was suspected to be killed by Bajrang Dal goons recently in Bantwal.
"Dr Parameshwar is a seasoned and capable leader who is handling the home ministry efficiently. Although I have a lot of respect for Sadananda Gowda, he should not have made such remarks at the time of offering condolences to the family of Harish," he said, adding that he would seek clarification from Mr Gowda for his remarks.
Condemning the behaviour of Sangh Parivar, he said that despite being responsible for the murder of Harish themselves, the leaders of the organisation behaved as though they sympathised with the victim. Their words and actions should not differ, he remarked.
Urging antisocial elements to stop provoking the sentiments of people and spreading hatred among them by making inflammatory speeches and remarks, he also implored citizens not to post provocative material on social media.
On being relieved from the responsibility of in-charge minister of Kolar district, Mr Khader said that he was satisfied of having discharged his duty well, and believed that the present in-charge minister Ramalinga Reddy, who was senior and more experienced than him, to serve the people of Kolar in the better way.
