New Delhi, Aug 27: Karnataka government’s bike ambulance system is expected to be adopted by an African nation soon.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has shown interest in launching two-wheeler ambulance service to provide emergency medical assistance to accident victims.
After he was briefed about the bike ambulance service introduced recently in Karnataka by its heath and family welfare U T Khader, Ethiopian minister of health Dr Kesetebirhan Admasu expressed his wiliness to launch similar service in the Horn of Africa too.
The duo met on the sidelines of ongoing global health summit at New Delhi on Thursday. Sources said that the Ethiopia minister evinced interest in various initiatives taken by the health ministry of Karnataka besides bike ambulance.
