Raichur, Mar 30: A young doctor from Karnataka’s Raichur district died under mysterious circumstances at his hospital campus at New Jersey, USA, on Thursday.
Nandigam Manideep (28), a resident of Gandhinagar village in Sindhanur taluk, was a final year post graduation student at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. He had begun practising in his last year of studies.
He had left for New Jersey three years ago after completing MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
Cause of his death will be ascertained only after autopsy which is likely to take place on Monday, according to family members.
Manideep had stayed back at a relative’s house on Wednesday and had proceeded to the hospital on Thursday. The relatives were contacted and informed about his death. Soon, the relatives shared the message with parents.
The victim’s father Srinivas is engaged in farming and his another son works as an engineer in Bengaluru. Srinivas and his wife Padma have approached the police seeking assistance.
