In his complaint, Mr Poojary complained that the opposition parties made a desperate bid to capture booths on the day of polling.
He said nearly 16,000 votes polled in Sullia might be proxy votes. Same persons have reportedly cast 10 - 15 votes using a single voter ID, he alleged.
He is suspicious over increased voting percentage in Sullia assembly segment which registered 84.42% polling.
Out of 224 assembly constituencies in the state, only six segments, including Sullia recorded above 80 percent polling in the Lok Sabha election held on Thursday.
Other constituencies, which recorded above 80% polling in the state, are Bantwal - 80.52%, Puttur - 82.53% (Dakshina Kannada constituency), Hosakote - 85.90%, Devanahalli - 81.93% (Chikkaballapur constituency) and Malur - 80.07% (Kolar constituency). A polling station in Madappady village in Sullia assembly constituency recorded 95.03% polling. Out of 624 voters in this booth, 593 exercised their franchise. Similarly, a nearby booth in the same village recorded 90.80% polling.
According to him, an atmosphere of fear was created in most of the polling stations. The Election Commission has banned the entry of people other than bona fide voters near polling stations and there should be no gathering within the 200-metre radius of polling stations. However, there were gathering of about 100 -150 within 50 metres of booths in Sullia creating fear among bona fide voters," Poojary alleged.
All urban assembly constituencies, including Mangalore City North, Mangalore City South and Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada recorded below 75% polling. Rural constituencies of Belthangady, Sullia, Puttur and Bantwal crossed 75% polling while the percentage in Moodbidri constituency in the district was 74.96.
