Udupi, Nov 9: An attempt to enter the Limca Book of Records will be made by a total of 2,000 members simultaneously trying to recite the Kali Haadu bhajan (Dasa sankeertana) at the Krishna Mutt courtyard on February 1.

A preliminary meeting was recently conductes in this regard which was presided by Nadavaibhavam director Vasudeva Bhat.
Those interested in becoming a part of the event from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts will participate in the event, which will begin at 9 a.m. and go on till 6 p.m. on February 1, said M S Gangadhar, the convenor who will conduct training for the 2,000 participants.
Swara Surabhi Trust chairman Shridhara Aiyar gave a detailed description of the historic event to be organised in an attempt to enter the Limca Book of Records.
Udupi taluk Bhajan Mandali Okkoota president Madhava Suvarna, vice president Bhojaraj Kidiyoor, general secretary A Shivakumar, Suprabha Acharya, Sundara Jatthan, Swasara Namamate chairperson Maya Kamath, and others were present on the occasion.
