Bengaluru, Sept 9: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Sunday announced release of 79 prisoners, who were serving jail term in various Prisons in the State.
Speaking after distributing the release order to the prisoners released, Dr Parameshwara said that they were released based on their good behaviour and an attempt was being made to bring them to mainstream and if they have any grievance they can contact the State government for help.
The Prisoners released were serving jail term at Bengaluru, Mysuru, Belagavi, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Bellari and Dharwa prisons.
The Deputy Chief Minister has to receive wrath of Women prisoners not not including them in the released prisoners list.
Usually Karnataka releases serviing prisoners on Independence day or Republic Day.
