Patna, Jul 24: A Bhartiya Janata Party lawmaker in Bihar has been arrested for misbehaving with a woman on board a moving train. Embarrassed over MLC Tunnaji Pandey's behavior, the saffron party has decided to suspend him.

“The arrest is on the basis of a written complaint by the father of the woman,” said Sanjay Singh, Officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police at Hajipur railway station.
The accused BJP lawmaker will be produced before a railway magistrate later in the day.
The victim, along with her father, was going to Gorakhpur in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh in coach number AI of the ACII bogey of the train, while the BJP MLC was on his way to Saran from Durgapur in West Bengal. He got down from the train at Hajipur railway station and got arrested.
The BJP MLC was allegedly in an inebriated condition when he made inappropriate overtures at the woman near Sarai railway station on Muzaffarpur-Hajipur section of the East Central Railway.
According to the complaint, Mr. Pandey not only misbehaved but also abused the woman.
Earlier, Sarfaraj Alam, a ruling party Janata Dal (United) MLA from Jokihat assembly constituency, was also detained but later released for misbehaving with a Delhi woman in a train.
