Bengaluru, Sept 21: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary P V Mohan has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of using the money it had made through ‘Rafale scam' to conduct ‘Operation Lotus’ by poaching Congress MLAs in Karnataka.

Speaking to media persons in Belagavi today, Mr Mohan urged the Congress-JD(S) coalition government, to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT), to probe poaching of coalition MLAs by BJP.
He said that there was 'large scale misappropriation in the Rafale deal' by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in the Centre.
"Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was replaced by a newly incorporated company belonging to Anil Ambani. Money collected through the deal is being used to poach Congress MLAs in the state and topple the coalition government, "Mohan alleged. He alleged that BJP could have amassed Rs 60,000 crore in the 'Rafale scam'.
"Misappropriation in the Rafale deal is sufficient to oust the Modi government in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections," he added.
