Bengaluru, Nov 21: Opposition Leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa, who is also BJP State President, on Wednesday announced that his party will not rest until Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is removed from the party for allegedly accusing the farmers of the State as goondas and robbers.
"The JDS, though has won only 38 seats in the May 12 election to the Assembly , with the help of Congress, is trying to rule the State with authoritarian and BJP will continue to fight until he (Mr Kumaraswamy) himself steps down", he added.
Addressing his party workers, Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that recent statement by Mr Kumaraswamy to a woman to the effect that "were sleeping since last 4 years over sugar cane dues and why you are asking me now" is an unpardonable and insult to farmers and to the people of the State.
Mr Yeddyurappa announced that BJP will hold a huge farmers rally on December 10-- the day when Winter Session begins at Suvarna Soudha, Belagavi.
Meanwhile, BJP launched a Statewide agitation against JDS-Congress Coalition government alleging that it has failed to waive off farmers crop loan as promised though it is already six months past and failing to take steps to tackle drought condition prevailing in 100 taluks.
