Mangaluru, Feb 4: An exhibition of photographs depicting ‘Street Life’ captured by Coastaldigest.com staff photographer Ahmed Anwar will be held for four days from February 7 at Talent Research Foundation Hall at Kankanady in the city.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Wednesday, Talent Research Foundation (TRF) president Riyaz Kannur said that a collection of Ahmed Anwar’s black-and-white monochrome photographs depicting street life would be kept on display from Saturday to Tuesday.
The photo exhibition will be inaugurated by Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader. Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim will preside over the inaugural ceremony. President of Press Club, Mangaluru Ramakrishna R and Managing Director of Vishwas Bawa Builders will be the chief guests on the occasion, he said.
The exhibition will be organised by Talent Research Foundation, Coastaldigest.com, and two WhatsApp groups - M Friends and Team Ahlan. The photos will be on display in the hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Saturday.
Ahmed Anwar is one of the photographers of Coastaldigest.com and has won several laurels and awards in recognition of his work as a photographer. He had also worked as a journalist and a writer in Kannada before joining Coastaldigest.com as a photographer.
Ahmed Anwar has also garnered appreciation from personalities from various walks of life. He also writes poetry in Kannada.
