Hassan, Sept 20: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has warned the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders that the people of Karnataka would revolt against them if they continue effort to topple coalition government in the state.
The Chief Minister who visited Channarayapatna taluk in Hassan to lay the foundation stone for many development works, responding to the queries of media persons said that he had been working for the welfare of the people.
“How long should I bear the petty politics by the BJP? I have to respond to people’s problems. If the BJP continues to disturb the government, I will give a call to the people of the State to revolt against it.”
Reacting to the allegation that the government had not yet taken off, Mr Kumaraswamy opined that BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa did not know the meaning of the word ‘take-off.’
“If the government had not taken off yet, why did one of their associates flee to Sri Lanka?” he wanted to know without taking the name of Uday Gowda, a BJP worker, who has been allegedly meeting MLAs to lure them to the BJP fold.
