Addressing media persons in Mangaluru Mr Khader recalled Mr Modi’s old satirical remarks against his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh for latter’s attempts to normalise relationship the enamouring country.

In a pre-election interview to Rajat Sharma, Mr Modi said, "Pakistan ko usi ki bhasha mein jawab dena chahiye. Yeh love-letter likhna band karna chahiye (Pakistan needs to be answered in the same language it speaks, stop writing love letters)."

Mr Khader said that if we compare Mr Modi’s statements before he was elected as prime minister with his present behaviour, we can easily figure out his hypocrisy.

Recalling the Kargil war between Indian and Pakistan which took place within a few months after BJP’s first Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Pak visit, Mr Khader said that saffron party always used Pakistan’s name for its political gains.

“The one who used to deliver provocative speeches against Pakistan before becoming prime minister is now visiting the same country without invitation. This is a shame for entire country. This is hypocrisy,” he said.
