The letter - dated June 4, the day when she submitted her resignation - was sent to the Commission through one of Shenoy's close relatives. The missive states that she did not receive co-operation from her subordinates. The officer says in the letter that the SP was responsible for her resignation. The former DySP has alleged that secret documents at the Kudligi police station were released by the SP when she had gone on a 19-day leave, owing to the mental agony she suffered when deputed to Indi on official duty.

Shenoy says she was issued memos for frivolous reasons after coming back from her leave. The former officer says in the letter to the Commission that the SP sent the leave letter submitted by her to the medical board for examination in May.

She has requested that the letter be probed by the Commission itself, instead of the police. In his response, SP Chetan said that he had acted in Shenoy's case as per the norm. He said if he wanted to harsass her, he could have sent an adverse report about her to the higher-ups. Chetan said he had faith in the Commission.

In Bengaluru, an official from the Commission confirmed receipt of the letter.

“The letter was dated June 4 and we told the relative that the date needs to be changed to June 21. Only after the date was changed, the complaint was accepted. We have told the relative that Shenoy should come in person to give a statement about the allegations made. The matter will not be taken forward till then,” the official said.
