48-year-old Abubacker is a Saudi Arabia residence permit holder and works as a mall supervisor in Al-Sadhan hyper market at Exit 14 in Riyadh. He had returned home on a vacation a few days ago.

It is learnt that before he went missing, he was staying in his in-law's house in Jokatte village on the outskirts of Mangaluru. On Saturday at around 10 a.m. he left for Mangaluru city saying that he had to visit a travel agency to reschedule his return ticket to Riyadh.

He was supposed to return to Saudi Arabia before Eid-ul-Adha. However, he had planned to extend the vacation for a few days and celebrate the festival with family members.

According his family sources, Abubacker contacted his wife over phone around 2 p.m. from Mangaluru and told her that he would go to Padubidri to see his mother and other family members and then come back in the night. But, he neither visited his mother's home at Padubidri nor returned to his wife's house in Jokatte.

It is said that a thorough search was made everywhere in Mangaluru including health care centers and hospitals the next day by his family members, but all in vain. A missing case has been registered in Panambur police station in this regard.

Family sources said that he is very polite and soft spoken and had no any enmity with anyone. His family is in utter shock and worried about his sudden disappearance.

If anyone has any information about him, he may contact his brother Mohammed (ph: 9008857717) or Panambur police station.
