Udupi, Oct 9: Baby Poojary, the mother of BJP activist Praveen Poojary, who was beaten to death while transporting cattle in August, has said that she won't forgive the Hindutva activists, who are responsible for her son's death.

When a delegation of Chalo Udupi-Swabhimani Sangharsha Jatha' visited her house at Kenjoor village, 3km from Santhekatte in Udupi two days ago, the aggrieved mother burst into tears recalling her bread winner son's death.

"We have cattle at home and value it. The Hindutva group activists who killed my son are not animal lovers. In the name of cattle protection, they showed rowdyism. He was the bread-winner of the family," she said.

A group of cow vigilantes owing allegiance to Hindutva groups on August 17 had lynched Praveen Poojary, 29, a BJP worker, to death for allegedly indulging in illegal cattle transpiration in Udupi district.

Praveen owned a tempo rickshaw and ran a chicken stall in his village. He also headed a standing committee of the BJP's Santhekatte unit.

Among the things that the Prophet Muhammed pbuh said to Mauadh RA. When he dispatched him to govern over Yemen was \ And be wary of the supplication of the oppressed, for between it and ALLAH (God) there is no baririer\"

In QURAN
We see Noah pbuh supplicated against his people when they oppressed him, spurned him and rejected his call.

Also Moses pbuh beseeched ALLAH in supplication against the most powerful tyrant of his time 'Pharoah' after he transgressed, oppressed and tyrannized Moses's people. Allah answered his supplication. The oppressor's lot is disgrace in this world and a painful chastisement in the hereafter...

Please Stop hating others..."

Mangaluru: Public transport in Mangaluru is set for a state-led transformation as the government moves to deploy 100 new electric govt buses to replace unreliable private services. The initiative aims to provide a dependable alternative to private operators who have been frequently "cutting trips," leaving thousands of commuters stranded.

The announcement was made by Deputy Commissioner and MCC Administrator Darshan HV during a public phone-in session. The move specifically targets routes where private bus service has become erratic, ensuring that citizens no longer have to rely on a fluctuating private sector for their daily commute.

Restoring the Govt Presence

The transport crisis was brought to the forefront by Ramayya, a resident of Bajal, who highlighted a growing trend of private buses skipping morning and night trips. With the previous KSRTC (govt) services discontinued, residents have been left without a fallback option.

To fix this, the DC confirmed that the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme will bring 100 government-owned electric buses to the city:

•    Phased Deployment: The first 50 of the new 100 government buses are scheduled to arrive by March 2026.

•    State Infrastructure: Two new government depots, including one at Mudipu, are being prepared for operations.

•    Recruitment: The state has already begun training a new batch of government bus drivers to ensure the fleet is operational the moment it arrives.
