Belagavi, Jan 26: Principal District and Sessions Court on Wednesday granted bail to BJP MLA Bharamagouda (Raju) Kage and family members who have been accused of assaulting Congress worker Vivek Shetty.

Judge R J Satish Singh granted the bail against a surety of Rs 2 lakh bond each, A R Patil, advocate who represented the accused, said.
Prasanna Kage, another accused, had earlier got anticipatory bail. The bail petitions of all other accused are pending before the court.
The incident
The accused, armed with lethal weapons, had entered the house of complainant Vivek Shetty at Ugar Khurd in Athani taluk and had allegedly
attacked the latter on January 1.
The incident was recorded in a close circuit TV camera and the accused were arrested in the neighbouring Maharashtra following a police complaint on January 8.
