Mangaluru, Apr 4: Hardline Hindutva outfits such as Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have warned of series of protests across Dakshina Kannada if the police if the police fail to nab all the alleged cattle thieves and traffickers in the district by Thursday, Apr 5.
The warning comes at the hunger strike launched by the members of Amruthadhara Gaushala at Kairangala village (Bantwal taluk) under the limits of Konaje police station entered fourth day on Wednesday. Goushala president T G Rajaram Bhat and others started agitation after a cow was allegedly stolen by the unidentified miscreants.
According to Radhakrishna Adyanthaya, HJV regional secretary, more than 75 cattle heads in and around Kairangala have been stolen in the last few days. “The cattle were being bred by families as a means of livelihood, and the cattle thieves have deprived them of that,’’ he said, pointing out that cattle thefts have reached menacing proportions, and that robbers often use weapons to threaten owners while stealing cattle.
“This is nothing but a failure of law and order. If the police fail to arrest the cattle thieves by Thursday, VHP, Bajrang Dal and other Hindutva groups will hold protests at various places in the district. If that too does not elicit a favourable response, the protests will be done in stages till we get justice,’’ he warned.
He said the police have been given enough information about the errant, but still no action has been taken. “There are several instances that have stirred communal passions in the district, and cow thefts are adding fuel to the fire,’’ he added.

In India every one have equal right , for the stolen cows let the owner register complaint and if he have the proof let him produce the dept to take stric action other than playing VHS politics.
Its stolen by none other than BD and VHP goons. Upon that they are protesting.
