Bijapur, Mar 31: BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday charged the Congress and other parties of “conspiring” to prevent him from become the Prime Minister.

At a rally on the outskirts of Bijapur city on Sunday, he alleged that the Congress had joined hands with some parties in the Opposition to prevent him from becoming the Prime Minister.

“The Congress has a fear. And the fear is that if I become the Prime Minister, I will send the party leaders to their appropriate place '. That 's why the Congress is making all efforts to prevent me from becoming the Prime Minister,” he said.

Claiming that people had lost faith in the Congress, Mr. Modi said the party would not even open its account in some States in the elections.

Describing the Congress election manifesto as the “manifesto of cheating”, he said, “For years, the party has been promising that poverty will be removed and job opportunities will be increased. People are fed up of it.”

During the six-year rule of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, some 6.5 crore jobs were created while in the 10-year regime of the United Progressive Alliance government only 1.25 crore jobs were created, said the BJP prime ministerial candidate.
