Mangalore, Apr 16: With barely few hours left for polling in Lok Sabha elections, Bharatya Janata Party's candidate for Dakshina Kannada constituency and sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has landed in a fresh and curious controversy.

According to Mr Jain the information was provided by Bharti Airtel. However, it is believed that an anti-Kateel faction within the saffron party might have played a role in this latest expose.

As soon as the issue was made public, a delegation of BJP leaders comprising of MLCs Ganesh Karnik and Monappa Bhandary met the deputy commissioner and reportedly urged him to take immediate measures to prevent the media from carrying the news.
