Dubai police reunite mother, daughter separated three years ago

Dubai, Apr 10: A mother in Dubai has been reunited with her nine-year-old daughter with the help of Naif police after three years of separation.

Within 24 hours Naif Police tracked down the daughter after the mother sought their help.

The mother had to leave the country after her divorce and her former husband had cancelled her residency visa.

She came to Dubai on a tourist visa for a week and hoped of see her daughter and knocked the police's door to fulfil her wish.

Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant to the Dubai Police Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, praised the humanitarian efforts carried out by the Naif police station in this case.

He explained that the Asian mother read about their "to communicate with the victim" programme in a newspaper in her country and came to Naif Police Station for help.

The programme is supervised by the General Department of Criminal Investigation of Dubai Police, and the initiatives of the Dubai Police humanity.

The officers within this programme took control over the situation and started their investigation.

They could locate the husband with his phone number provided by the mother.

The team got in touch with the father and he escorted his daughter to the police station to meet her mother.

Major General Al Mansouri praised the father for his response to the situation.

The mother was over joyed to see her daughter after three years and thanks Naif Police for their help.

Colonel Yusuf Al Adede, director of the Center on behalf of Naif Police, praised the efforts of the working group to solve the issue in record time.

He said that the programme "to communicate with the victim" has succeeded in many humanitarian problems, where it helped an Iraqi woman to see her son after 17 years, also help 9 people to return to their country, and return 90 passports.

Colonel Yousuf Al Adidi said the victim support programme at Naif Police has helped 7,980 victims, both in criminal and traffic cases, in 2013, compared with 9,545 in 2012 and 10,580 in 2011.

He added that the decline in numbers is due to the overall decline in the number of reports registered.

Melkar, Dec 17: The 17th Annual Day and Graduation Ceremony of Melkar Women’s PU and Degree College, themed “Fusion-2K25,” was celebrated with dignity and enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey. The graduation ceremony was a proud moment for the outgoing students as they were formally conferred degrees and wished success in their future endeavours.

Ms. Mashmooma Fathima served as the Master of Ceremonies. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Fathima Nida, and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ayisha Suhana.

The event successfully achieved its objectives and was highly appreciated by the guests and attendees.
