Mangaluru, Jul 5: The police have arrested a man, aged around 45 years for allegedly sexually assaulting his own minor daughter at Puchchemogeru near Moodbidri on the outskirts of the city.

The accused has been identified as Vikram Pillai, originally from Kerala. He had married a woman from Jharkhand and had a 14-year-old daughter. He was employed at a mill and resided in Puchchemegoru with his family.
The issue came to light after the Pillai’s neighbours, who had observed his daughter sleeping outside the house for past few nights, informed the police.
