Mangaluru, Apr 3: Four youngsters have been arrested by the Anti-Rowdy Squad from Mangaluru North sub-division for alleged illegal possession of dangers weapons. Three swords, two country pistols and 10 bullets have been seized from them.
The arrested are Sandeep Devadiga (29) of Katipalla 4th block, Ajit Harady (21) from Brahmavar, Charan Raj (22) of Bantwal, and Rakshit Bhandary (30), of Dharmasthala.
The police said the squad, on a tip-off, conducted raid on the house of Devadiga on Sunday and seized three swords. On his information, the police arrested Harady and Raj in Kuthethoor for allegedly providing two country made pistols and 10 bullets to Bhandary. The two had reportedly acted as per the instructions of Satish, who has been lodged in Belagavi Central Prison following life imprisonment in a case of murder in Surathkal, the police said.
The police said they are inquiring the accused to know of the purpose for illegal possession of swords and pistols.
