Gaza City, Jul 13: A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in the Gaza Strip as hospitals in the besieged Palestinian coastal sliver are in a dire need of medical supplies amid continued Israeli military aggression, reports said.

The storage of medical facilities in Gaza City is almost empty, and the largest medical complex and central hospital of the city – al-Shifa Hospital – is so badly underequipped that it cannot cope with the influx of Palestinians injured in Israeli airstrikes.

Many of the fatalities occur due to a lack of necessary medical equipment and life support machines.

Palestinian officials are warning that a health crisis is imminent in the Gaza Strip unless serious measures are taken to stop it.

“We have used all our medications and we were planning to buy further medications from outside. At that time, war broke out and we started using our reserve. Right now, we are using our reserve. If the war extends more than a week or two, we will be out of all medications for our patients,” said the director of al-Wafa hospital, Basman al-Ashi.

Years of Israeli blockade as well as frequent military campaigns by the Tel Aviv regime have already shattered Gaza's health care system.

A total of 163 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have lost their lives in the impoverished region since Tuesday. Nearly 1,100 others have been also injured in the ongoing deadly air raids.

This is while Israeli tanks have now lined up along the Gaza border, firing into the region. Tel Aviv has also mobilized some 33,000 reservists in preparation for a possible ground incursion.

US, Britain back Israel aggression against Gaza'

Tehran, Jul 13: Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the United States and Britain back Israel's deadly attacks against Palestinians.

Khamenei said on Saturday that the two countries do not care about the Tel Aviv regime's killings and “officially support these attacks.”

More than 160 people, including women and children, have been killed in five days of Israeli airstrikes against the coastal enclave.

The domineering world powers back evil as long as it is in their interest while they confront good savagely, the leader said.

The Tel Aviv regime has been pounding targets in Gaza since it started its latest wave of aggression against the coastal sliver on Tuesday.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, has reacted to Israeli airstrikes by firing rockets against towns and cities in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Tel Aviv and East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Over 160 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and about 1,200 others were injured in Israel's eight-day offensive on the coastal enclave, which ended on November 21, 2012.

Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.

The apartheid regime of Israel denies about 1.7 million people in Gaza their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, jobs that pay proper wages, and adequate healthcare and education.

Mangaluru, Dec 20: City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has issued a high-alert warning to vehicle owners regarding a surge in cyber fraud targeting those looking to pay traffic violation fines. Fraudsters are reportedly exploiting recent government discount schemes on traffic penalties to deceive citizens.

The Scam: How Fraudsters Strike

Criminals are using SMS, WhatsApp, and social media to circulate suspicious links and APK files (Android application packages). They claim these apps allow users to pay e-challans at a discount.

•    Device Hacking: Downloading these unauthorized apps gives hackers full access to the victim's smartphone.

•    Financial Theft: Once the phone is compromised, fraudsters intercept OTPs and personal data to drain bank accounts.

•    Phishing Sites: Fake websites mimicking official portals are also being used to harvest banking credentials.

Already, two residents within Mangaluru city limits have reported significant financial losses after falling victim to these fraudulent apps.
