New Delhi, Sept 15: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday flew down from Goa and admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi amid continued worry over his health condition.

The AIIMS refused to release any initial reports of medical condition of Mr. Parrikar, who was treated in the U.S. for a pancreatic ailment for three months earlier this year.

Mr. Parrikar, who returned from the U.S. after a medical check-up on September 7, was admitted to a private hospital at North Goa’s Candolim on Thursday evening.

According to reports, the Chief Minister had been in touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) top leaders and had briefed them about the political situation in the State and also about his health conditions.

The party observers will reach Goa on Saturday to take stock of the situation there.
