Bengaluru, Jan 11: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, hinting at taking action against his cabinet colleague and Minister for Backward Classe Welfare Puttaranga Shetty, said that he need some more time to ascertain the facts.
Mr Shetty had came under cloud after one of his office aid was arrested by the Vidhana Soudha Police, recently for carrying unaccounted cash of over Rs 25 lakhs. The Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly B S Yeddyurappa had demanded his (Mr Shetty) resignation owing moral responsibility.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr Kumaraswamy said that “I am aware of the fact of the incident and take an appropriate stand at a right time. I have never tried to shield anybody facing serious charges.”
