Healthizen to improve health and hygiene across Karnataka

Citizens of Karnataka will be soon armed with œHealthizen , a brain child of Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader.

Developed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare of Karnataka with the assistance of National Informatics Centre the citizen friendly mobile application œHealthizen  is expected to be launched in a few days.

According to Mr Khader this application would facilitate the people to directly communicate with the government if they notice any short coming on part of the officials of the Health department.

With this App one can report inadequate facilities at primary health centres, government hospitals or even the heap of garbage piled up in his or her locality, directly to the government. All you need to do is click a photograph and upload it on the Healthizen app.

The App, which will be available on the Google Play Store as a free download, will use real-time imaging and will provide the exact location of where the image was clicked.

Mr Khader hopes that Healthizen will not only improve health and hygiene across the State, but also will cut red-tape.

Healthizen will not be a œmere  complaint box but a system that would help rectify a problem at the earliest, promises Mr Khader.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan too has appreciated Mr Khader for introducing Healthizen and asked him for the software for replication in other parts of the country. This application has also won'Innovation Youth Award' recently in Mumbai.
