Amid the ongoing attack and counter attack between leaders during poll campaign in Bihar, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a debate in English.

Accusing Modi of avoiding challenges, Lalu took to Twitter asking Modi to debate on 'burning issues' the country is facing.

"If not in English he can have debate in Hindi also on all the burning issues but I'm afraid he avoids challenges," the former Bihar chief minister tweeted.

Known for his theatrics to lure listeners during his election rallies, Lalu was also seen mimicking Modi in a dubsmash video recently.

Addressing a massive crowd in Marhaura (Chhapra) on Sunday Modi had termed Lalu's RJD as Rashtriya Jadu-Tona (sorcery) Dal. The statement was in reference to a video clip, which went viral on Friday, showing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar meeting a tantrik. The tantrik was shown shouting anti-Lalu slogans while hugging Nitish Kumar in the video, which the JD-U claimed was three to four years old.
