Malappuram, Nov 10: A warm reception awaited a four-member Gulf Malayali team which reached here from Saudi Arabia after travelling thousands of kilo metres by road on Sunday.

Mujeeb Rahman Kodassery from Kondotty, Arafath Vattipparambath from Angadipuram, Abdul Nasar from Pookkottur, and Nasar Punnassery from Cherukara said they were excited to reach home after 45 days of journey by road.
They started their road journey on September 24 from Jeddah by a new car given by their Arab sponsor. They covered 15,000 km across Dubai, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Nepal, and Tibet.
A four-member team from Kondotty had gone to Nepal to receive the adventure group when entering India. The car they came in will be airlifted to Saudi Arabia.
K.P. Mohammed Kutty, Saudi Arabia national unit president of the Kerala Muslim Cultural Society (KMCC), received the road team here on Sunday along with P. Ubaidulla, MLA.
The team will be given a reception at Kondotty on Monday evening.
