Jet Airways to start another Mangaluru- Bengaluru flight from Aug 1

Mangaluru, Jul 11: Jet Airways will be operating one more flight between Mangaluru and Bengaluru from August 1 this year.

With this, the private airlines will operate six daily flights between these two important cities of Karnataka.

According to a release flight 9W2782 will leave Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru at 3.40pm and reach Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at 4.50pm.

On the other hand flight 9W2404 will leave Mangaluru at 5.15pm and reach Bengaluru at 6.25pm.

The other Jet Airways flights include 9W2735 (departure 6.45am), 9W2839 (9.45am), 9W2354 (12.30pm), 9W815 (3.05pm), 9W2401 (6.30pm), and 9W2399 (9.20pm) from KIA to MIA.

Likewise, flight 9W839 will leave MIA for KIA at 6.45am, 9W2400 at 8.15am, 9W2756 at 11.20am, 9W2352 at 2pm; 9W2404 at 5.15pm (new flight), 9W2736 at 8.05pm, and 9W2404 at 10.55pm.

Flights 9W839 and 9W815 will be discontinued from August 7. Flights 9W2839, 9W2354, 9W2756 and 9W2352 will operate on all days except Tuesday. The non-operation of flights on Tuesday is due to runway closure for a specified time at KIA on those days, airline spokesperson said.

Mangaluru, Dec 20: City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has issued a high-alert warning to vehicle owners regarding a surge in cyber fraud targeting those looking to pay traffic violation fines. Fraudsters are reportedly exploiting recent government discount schemes on traffic penalties to deceive citizens.

The Scam: How Fraudsters Strike

Criminals are using SMS, WhatsApp, and social media to circulate suspicious links and APK files (Android application packages). They claim these apps allow users to pay e-challans at a discount.

• Device Hacking: Downloading these unauthorized apps gives hackers full access to the victim's smartphone.

• Financial Theft: Once the phone is compromised, fraudsters intercept OTPs and personal data to drain bank accounts.

• Phishing Sites: Fake websites mimicking official portals are also being used to harvest banking credentials.

Already, two residents within Mangaluru city limits have reported significant financial losses after falling victim to these fraudulent apps.
