Mangalore, Jul 17: A court in Mangalore has granted anticipatory bail to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat who is facing charges of hate speech made in Gurpur seven months ago.
The district and sessions court granted bail to Bhat who delivered sleazy dialogues at the Hindu Sangama' organized on the premises of Vajradehi Mutt of Gurpur on January 5.

He had insulted Muslim women for covering their body with Hijab. He had also said that all Muslim men were “handicapped” as they undergo circumcision'.
Mohammad Usman, a resident of Gurpur had filed at jurisdictional Bajpe police who booked Bhat under sections 153(A) and 295 (A) of IPC.
Police had also filed chargesheet against accused Bhat upon investigation. Based on the chargesheet, the court had issued Non-Bailable arrest Warrant against Bhat.
Advocate P P Hegde who argued in the court on behalf of the RSS leader said that Bhat was just “citing” incidents to stress the importance of equality in the implementation of law.
“Bhat just said that Hindus too have a faith system which they respect just as Muslims do. But government was eager to ban only Hindu rituals. And his assertions were not aimed at any particular caste or community,” Mr Hegde argued.
