Bengaluru, Mar 27: When India is looking towards a government that unite the country and not flare up religious sentiments, the BJP central leadership has named Mr Tejasvi Surya, a highly aggressive proponent of right wing sentiments from Bengaluru South Segment and such forces should be defeated, KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao today said.

In an exclusive interview with UNI Kannada Service, the Congress leader said Karnataka and the country had already suffered under such ‘extremist thought’ leaders like Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde, who is the BJP Candidate from Uttara Kannada and Pratap Simha the BJP candidate from Mysuru-Kodagu LS Seat.

Mr Gundurao said the country needed forward looking youth leaders to take to politics, but BJP naming Mr Surya was a step that promoted to develop leaders who train youth ‘like militants’. "This is not good. This young leader from BJP can cause only social turmoil and not amity among the communities and he should be defeated," he added.
