Celebrations broke out outside the state unit headquarters in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, with supporters and cadres bursting crackers and distributing sweets to people.

As per the latest trends, the BJP is leading in 114 of the 222 constituencies that voted in the May 12 elections. A party would need 112 seats to form the government.

The big question now is whether the BJP would be able to form the government on its own.

Earlier, the BJP's chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa stated that he would take the oath of office on May 17, and it looks like his dream may turn into reality.
