Belagavi, Dec 20: Stating that the state’s financial condition is sound, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that the Union Government is yet to release State's share of over Rs 3000 crore towards GST.

Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that “the tax collection in the State at the end of October was on satisfactory note and confident that there will be no any cut in the budget outlay”.

Stating that the State government has achieved a performance of about 51 per cent in terms of expenditure, till November this year, as against the 47 per cent in the corresponding period last year, Mr Kumaraswamy said that “this is despite byelections for few seats in both the Lok Sabha as well as for the Assembly in the last six months”.

Replying to a question on fulfilling the farm loan waiver scheme, he said that “we are in a position to implement the scheme without depending on the Center or any other Institutions. The loan waiver scheme should be a one-time relief for the farming community”.
