Belagavi, Dec 2: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayanth Sinha today inspected Airport at Sambra and said that the Airport has been included under Udaan Scheme and more Airline companies have shown interest to introduce their Air service from here to many important destinations.
He said that more than 10 Aircraft will start flying from this upgraded airport and many Airlines are showing keen interest.
Earlier, participating in the “STEP-2018 National Conclave” organized by Prabudh Bharath at Visweswarayya Technology University (VTU) here he said that Civil Aviation sector is growing very fast and creating lot of job opportunities and turnover of the civil aviation industry has doubled in past four years and reached Rs 1.8 lakh crores which is the turnover of railways and telecom sector as well.
Replying to a question by participants, he said that his ministry is taking initiative for using biofuel, especially the ethanol in the civil aviation sector which is clean and cost effective.
