Sullia, Mar 9: A ‘kidney health awareness’ rally was held at Sullia recently as a part of Dakshina Kannada district level kidney health campaign (Jan 13-March 12, 2015) initiated by Mangalore Nephro-Urology Charitable Trust along with a few local social NGOs.

Former District Governor of Lions Club M B Sadashiva inaugurated the rally and said that as good old proverb goes prevention is better than cure, NGOs should work on preventing diseases along with helping diseased patients.
The rally started from Shasthri circle and culminated at Chenna Keshava Temple Sullia, with the volunteers handing out water bottles and pamphlets containing essential information about the kidney and its ailments to the public.
Students from KVG Nursing College, KVG Medical College, KVG Ayurveda Medical College, Green View Eng. Medium High School, Govt. First Grade College ,Sharada Womens First Grade College, N.M.C First Grade College are participated in the rally.
Umar U.H. General Secretary Kidney Health Campaign Organizing Committee welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
