
Mangaluru, Feb 9: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief Dr G Parameshwara has said that he would obtain complete information regarding the intention of forming Bharatiya Hindu Parishad (BHP) and contemplate on further action against the founder of the organisation.
He was responding to the questions of media persons in Mangaluru regarding the removal of Puttur block Congress president Hemanath Shetty after he founded the Hindu outfit ignoring the warning of senior leaders of the party.
With regard to another Congressman Vijaynath Vittal Shetty taking active part in the upcoming Hindu Samajothsava organised by VHP in Mangaluru, the KPCC chief said that he would look into the seriousness of the matter and their involvement in religious programmes before taking action against such party members.
If anyone directly goes against the principles of Congress, they will be removed from the party, he said.
