Belagavi, Dec 20: Opposition BJP members continued their dharna in the well of the Legislative Assembly demanding Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to tender apology for making derogatory remark against Opposition Leader B S Yeddyurappa while replying to discussion on Loan waiver issue yesterday.
When the opposition members failed to return to their respective chairs despite his appeal, Speaker Ramesh Kumar adjourned the House for 30 minutes on Thursday.
As soon as the House assembled to take up business, the opposition members thronged to Well and continued their dharna shouting against Mr Kumaraswamy stating that he has failed to implement farm loan waiver scheme as announced by him months back.
Opposition Leader B S Yeddyurappa said that the dharna will continue till Chief Minister tenders his apology for showing disrespect to the opposition leaders, who were asking the government to implement the loan waiver scheme.
J Madhuswamy (BJP) appealed to the Speaker to direct the Chief Minister to come to the House and make his stand clear on the issue.
