Mangaluru, Nov 3: The fog has continued to haunt early morning flights at Mangaluru International Airport. Two inbound flights from United Arab Emirates were diverted to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru and Calicut International Airport in Karipur respectively on Wednesday.

Airport director J T Radhakrishna, airport director said that the flights were diverted on account of poor visibility on the runway due to dense fog that had enveloped the Airport
Jet Airways flight 9W501 from Abu Dhabi that was rescheduled to land at MIA at 5.20am was diverted to Bengaluru and finally landed here at 10.30am.
Likewise, Air India Express flight IX814 from Dubai that was rescheduled to land at MIA at 7.25am, was diverted to Calicut.
The flight finally landed at 11am, Radhakrishna said, adding that flight operations returned to normal from 8.30am after the fog lifted. Other flights are operating as per scheduled, he noted.
