Mangaluru, Jan 21: The Karnataka Haj Committee has started distributing applications forms to aspiring pilgrims in the state.
State Wakf Board member and Mangaluru Haj Committee President Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi formally released the application forms at the office of Dakshina Kannada district Wakf Advisory Committee in Mangaluru.
Moidinabba from Maravanthe village, Khalid from Thannirbavi and Asiya from Moodbidri were the first three persons to receive forms in Mangaluru.
Speaking on the occasion DK Wakf Advisory Committee chief S M Rashid Haji said that Haj aspirants can obtain applications from the same office free of cost and submit along with their passports by February 20.
Muslim Central Committee vice president C Mahmood Haji, general secretary Haneef Haji, Azeez Baikampady, B S Basheer Jeppu, F M Basheer, Rashid Vittla and others were present on the occasion.
