Mangaluru, Aug 25: The Cyber Crime police in Mangaluru arrested a man in Goa on charges of cheating a few youths of the city of jobs in Canada by collecting Rs. 5.96 lakh.

The accused has been identified as Kiran Tilagol, a native of Punjab and resident of Pandeshwar in Mangaluru. He was picked up from Calangute in Goa.
According to Tilagol, he received a mail about jobs in Canada. He contacted the agency which promised a job for him and 25 of his friends in Canada.
Tilagol and his friends collected sent Rs. 5.96 lakh and transferred it the agency by NEFT.
Investigation revealed that the agency involved was World Star Placement Service in Mohali, Punjab, owned by Kulvinder Kumar.
