Ministers' 6-month travel bills Rs 2.8 cr; Patil, Ramanath Rai highest

Belagavi: Nov 30: Travel expenses of 32 ministers in the Siddaramaiah Cabinet between April and October this year amounted to Rs 2.8 crore, the Legislative Assembly was informed on Tuesday.

In a written reply to K?Gopalaiah (JD-S), Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that this amount included expenses towards use of special aircraft and helicopters by the ministers which amounted to Rs 1.73 crore.

Former minister S?R?Patil's travel expenses during the period was the highest at Rs 93.71 lakh, followed by ministers Ramanath?Rai (Rs 21.47 lakh) and Vinay Kulkarni (Rs 13.82 lakh).
