Mishal, the only candidate in DK who cracked civil services exam-2015, feted

Mangaluru, May 22: Mishal Queenie D'Costa, the only candidate from entire Dakshina Kannada district who cracked civil services examination-2015 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, was given a warm felicitation at Pandit Health Resort & Spa, Moodbidri, here.

Mishal is the Daughter of Lazarus and Nancy D'Costa resident of Niddodi village near Moodbidri. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Lazarus D'costa became emotional and thanked Pandit Resort for the gesture shown to his daughter. Mishal in her speech said that by honouring her Pandit Resort has shown the way to all aspirants of civil services and she hoped that if at least one student could be inspired by this gesture she would be happy.

Mr. Goel, chief promoter of Pandit Health Resort in his speech said the hardship faced by Mishal is the source of happiness now not only for herself but also to her entire family. He recalled that how he and his family felt proud when his brother Mr. Chand Goel became the first IAS officer from Mathura district and again when his brother married the first lady IPS officer Sridevi Goel of Maharashtra. Mr. Goel advised Mishal to do her work without any pressure and distinction of caste and creed.

Ms. Ruby Agarwal welcomed. Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji from Jain Mutt, Maharishi Dr. Sri Sri Anand Guruji from Anand Siddhipeetham, Bengaluru, BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari, Rev. Father Basil Vaz from Holy Rosary Church, Alangar, Dr. Vinay kumar Hegde, Ms. Archana from Jet Airways spoke on this occasion and gave their blessings to Mishal.

Mangaluru, Dec 20: The Mangaluru City Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the inaugural ceremony of Karavali Utsava, which will be held at the Karavali Utsava Ground on Saturday.

The festival will be inaugurated at 6:00 pm by Dakshina Kannada District Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. Cultural and public programmes will be held at the venue every evening and will continue until January 2.

According to City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, parking of vehicles is strictly prohibited on both sides of the road from Lalbagh to Karavali Utsava Ground. Visitors are requested to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas.

To help the public, traffic signboards and parking guidance flex boards have been installed along the routes leading to the venue. The police have urged commuters and visitors to follow these instructions to ensure smooth traffic movement.

•    Gandhinagar Government School (near Press Club) – Two-wheelers and cars

The police have appealed to the public to cooperate by following traffic rules and parking guidelines to avoid inconvenience during the festival.
