Bengaluru, Nov 13: Mortal remains of Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertiisers and Parliamentary Affairs H N Ananth Kumar, who died in a city hospital on Novembr 12, was confined to flames with full Military honour at Chamarajapet Crematorium in the city on Tuesday.
Mr Ananth Kumar's brother Nanda Kumar performed the last rites lit the pyre as per Hindu religion practice.
Little earlier, Gun salute was given by Defence personal as a mark of respect to the departed soul and the national flag was removed from the body.
The flag was handed over to the family members of Mr Kumar.
The 59 year-old leader, a six-time Lok Sabha member from Bengaluru South segment, began his political career being a student leader of ABVP and rose to became Union Minister.
