MUDA chairman Ibrahim Kodichal felicitated in hometown

Mangaluru, Mar 24: Newly-appointed Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman Ibrahim Kodichal was felicitated at a programme organised by Rifayi Jumma Masjid, Hayathul Islam Madrasa and Kodichal and Dammam units of Khidmatul Islam Association in the masjid premises at his hometown of Kodichal near here on Monday.

The felicitation programme was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada Wakf Advisory Committee chairman S M Rasheed Haji, while Muslim Central Committee president M S Mohammed Masood presided over it. Khateeb Alhaj M H Aboobaker Saqafi performed the dua.

Health minister U T Khader and MLC Ivan D'Souza spoke during the programme and wished him well. Head of Department of Political Science, Mangalore University Prof P L Dharma, teacher at Ramakrishna School, Harekala Raveendra Rai and former panchayat member T S Abdullah also spoke on the occasion.

Haneef Haji Bunder, N S Kareem, Haider Parthipady, Sufi Kunhi Kodichal, Santhosh Kumar Shetty, Sudarshan Rao, Achhuta Gatty, Mohammed Mustafa, Mohammed Monu, Hussain Kunhi Haji, Mohammed Haneef, B Khalid and several others were present in the programme.

Khidmatul Association president K M Abdurrahman presented the felicitation letter to Ibrahim Kodichal. Former president Abdurrahman welcomed the gathering.

Mangaluru, Dec 20: The Mangaluru City Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the inaugural ceremony of Karavali Utsava, which will be held at the Karavali Utsava Ground on Saturday.

The festival will be inaugurated at 6:00 pm by Dakshina Kannada District Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. Cultural and public programmes will be held at the venue every evening and will continue until January 2.

According to City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, parking of vehicles is strictly prohibited on both sides of the road from Lalbagh to Karavali Utsava Ground. Visitors are requested to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas.

To help the public, traffic signboards and parking guidance flex boards have been installed along the routes leading to the venue. The police have urged commuters and visitors to follow these instructions to ensure smooth traffic movement.

•    Gandhinagar Government School (near Press Club) – Two-wheelers and cars

The police have appealed to the public to cooperate by following traffic rules and parking guidelines to avoid inconvenience during the festival.
