Bagalkot, Jun 10: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has dropped clear hits that the ministers, who have currently been sworn-in, may be dropped from the Cabinet to make way for other MLAs.
Speaking to reporters at Nilagunda, in Bagalkot district, the Congress leader said that the ministers will be given two years and other aspirants will be given a chance after that.
He offered to resolve differences in the Congress over the allocation of ministerial berths, by talking to the party high command.
He said that he was in constant touch with MLAs and speaking to them at least three times a day. "They are satisfied. There is no dissatisfaction among them," he claimed.
Denying that the Delhi high command had summoned him, Siddaramaiah said that he had not been to Delhi for that reason. "But I have spoken to the high command over the phone," he added.
Quizzed about making MLA M B Patil deputy chief minister (DyCM), Siddaramaiah said that no more DyCM positions would be created as of now. "As for the post of KPCC president, (AICC chief) Rahul Gandhi will take a decision," he added.
