Backward class people need to overcome the inferiority complex, says Eshwarappa

Udupi, September 2: Hindu religion has been divided on the caste basis for self interest. But the backward class people need to overcome the inferiority complex and lead a dignified life said, Deputy CM and BJP State President Eshwarappa.

He was speaking after inaugurating the district level convention of BJP Backward Class Morcha organized organized by its district unit headed by ZP member Geethanjali Suvarna, at Sheshashayana Hall here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion former CM DV Sadananda Gowda said that both Congress and JD(S) which claim to champion the cause of Backward Classes did little to their upliftment. "In fact the BJP government spent over Rs 1000 crores for the welfare of backward communities and the previous government had spent only Rs 250 crore'', Gowda said.

District incharge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary presided over the convention.

District BJP President Udaya Kumar Shetty, MP Nalin Kumar, MLAs Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon and others participated.
