Air India Express increases services to Middle East from Mangalore, Kerala

Mangalore, October 6: Air India express, in its winter schedule has increased its services from Mangalore and Kerala airports to the Middle East destinations from 92 services a week to 119 services per week, hence an increase of 27 flights per week.

 

Mangalore International Airport will see Air India Express flying twice daily to Dubai, three times a week to Muscat, Abu Dhabi and twice weekly to Doha and Bahrain.

 

The other main highlights of the winter schedule is that, Kochi will connect the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, Doha and Sharjah daily, Muscat will be thrice a week and passengers from Kochi will be offered convenient connections to Dammam via Kozhikode daily, and to Kuwait three times a week, with both the boarding cards issued in Kochi and the baggage's tagged to the ultimate destination.

 

Kozhikode will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Doha, Dammam and Muscat daily; Salalah will be twice a week, Kuwait thrice a week and one weekly service to the city of Al-Ain.

 

Kerala's capital city Thiruvananthapuram will connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai daily, thrice weekly to Muscat, four times a week to Sharjah and twice a week to the city of Salalah in Oman.

 

On the domestic sector Air India Express will operate daily flights to Mumbai from Kochi, Thrivanathapuram and thrice weekly from Kozhikode to Mumbai and back.

 

“This is the first time ever since its inception in 2005 that Air India Express is deploying so many services from the cities of Kerala and Mangalore to the Gulf and back said an Air India Express spokesperson. “This increase in capacity will help stabilize the fares to a very large extent which will benefit the traveling public of this region”, he said.

 

In addition to the above, AIE will operate a daily flight from Tiruchirapalli to Dubai and back, Singapore will also be connected with Tiruchirapalli by a daily flight. Chennai will have a daily flight to Colombo and Singapore. Kuala Lumpur will be connected four times a week from Chennai.

 

Amritsar will have a daily flight operating Amritsar / Dubai / Amritsar, AIE will also operate four flights a week between Jaipur and Dubai, Lucknow will have a daily flight to Dubai and Mumbai will have three flights a week to Doha and Dubai.

 

Effective Oct 28, the total flights operated by Air India Express from India to the Middle East, Sri Lanka and Far East Destinations will be168 flights a week. Melkar, Dec 17: The 17th Annual Day and Graduation Ceremony of Melkar Women’s PU and Degree College, themed “Fusion-2K25,” was celebrated with dignity and enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey. The programme reflected the college’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence, character building, and the holistic development of students.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Asif Mohammed, whose presence greatly enriched the occasion. The celebration was further graced by the chief guests Mr. P. B. Ahmed Mudassir and Mr. Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, along with the distinguished guests of honour Mr. B. A. Nazeer and Mr. Ibrahim Gadiyar. In their inspiring addresses, the guests encouraged the graduating students and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the management, faculty, and students.

The annual report was presented by the Principal, Mr. Abdul Majeed S, highlighting the institution’s academic progress, notable achievements, and extracurricular accomplishments during the academic year.

The presidential address was delivered by the esteemed Chairman of Melkar Women’s PU and Degree College, Dr. Haji S. M. Rasheed, who emphasized the vital role of education in empowering women and shaping responsible citizens. He also stressed the importance of discipline, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success.

Cultural programmes and academic recognitions formed an integral part of the celebration, showcasing the talents and achievements of the students. The graduation ceremony was a proud moment for the outgoing students as they were formally conferred degrees and wished success in their future endeavours.

Ms. Mashmooma Fathima served as the Master of Ceremonies. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Fathima Nida, and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ayisha Suhana.

The event successfully achieved its objectives and was highly appreciated by the guests and attendees.
