Clarifying its stands in wake of some parties and groups allegedly misusing the party's name and spreading false rumours stating that AAP is supporting them and that AAP's chief convener Arvind Kejriwal will be campaigning for them in Karnataka, a release from the party said that AAP Karnataka is not supporting any other political party, group or independent candidates in these elections and Mr Kejriwal is not coming to the state in the run-up to the assembly elections.
The release read that the AAP's main focus currently is to build its team at the grassroots level in the state by working for the people in the villages, towns and cities, especially farmers, workers, students, youth and children, and women, as successive governments have failed to respond to their specific needs.
AAP has also requested the voters to be cautious about candidates who appear before the people only during the election time with empty promises. Voters should be careful in verifying the details provided by the candidates in their nomination papers about their property and wealth and criminal records.
